Brazil and Real Madrid legend Ronaldo de Lima has left out Cristiano Ronaldo from his all-time best XI in favour of arch-nemesis Lionel Messi.

The 39-year old Brazilian picked four Brazilians including himself and Diego Maradona who joins Messi as the only other Argentinian in the team of star-studded names.

According to SuSport, Gianluigi Buffon, Fabio Cannavaro, Paulo Maldini and Andrea Pirlo are the four Italians in the team sheet.

And former Madrid team-mate Zinedine Zidane is the solitary Frenchman to make the cut.
Ronaldo finished a stellar career after winning two World Cups and being crowned Fifa World Player of the Year three times.

He is widely regarded as one of the best strikers of all time and set the world alight at Barcelona, Inter, Real and AC Milan.

In January this year Brazil legend Pele went the opposite route and picked Ronaldo over Messi as his own preference.
Neymar also backed the former Manchester United star to win this year’s Ballon d’Or ahead of Barca team-mate Messi.
