Transfer News|Fresh hope for desperate Balotelli
There may finally be light at the end of the tunnel for Liverpool outcast, Mario Balotelli following the confirmation by FC Sion chairman, Christian Constantin that they have begun talks over a loan move for the Italian player.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is very keen to offload Balotelli before the end of the month, but despite being linked to numerous clubs in his homeland of Italy, the 26-year-old is still stuck at Anfield.
The striker, who is said to be training with the development squad, struggled to make an impact when he joined the Merseyside outfit from AC Milan in the summer of 2014, which resulted in a loan return to the San Siro last season.
The player’s agent Mino Raiola is reported to have offered his client to Manchester United, but it appears as though Sion are in the driving seat.
Constantin told Ticinonews.ch: “I can confirm we’re discussing about a possible loan of Balotelli. We’re progressing but I can’t say yet if the transfer will be successful or not.”
Balotelli could only sore a solitary Premier League goal during his time at Liverpool and he desperate to have a chance to save what is left of his fast-plunging career.
