Rio 2016Nigeria's basketball team, D’Tigers, defeated by Lithuania

Experience and quality was believed to have seen the Lithuanians through the later stages of the game, given their late fight back

Nigeria’s male basketball team, D’Tigers, on Wednesday, August 10, lost to world No. 3 Lithuania in their second game at the Rio Olympics 2016.

The game ended 89 - 80.
According to Complete Sports, Ben Uzoh, Ibekwe and Ebi Ere all hit shots as Nigeria won the first quarter 16-13.
At the end of the second quarter, captain Ike Diogu was said to have recorded 11 points, Alade Aminu scored six points while Umeh had eight points as the Nigerians led 41-36 at half-time.
Lithuania, however, switched their game several notches up in the third quarter, and went 16 points clear to lead 65-54.
Experience and quality was believed to have seen the Lithuanians through the later stages of the game, given their late fight back.
