It was a stiff battle for the D'Tigers who made a surprising comeback from the first quarter, having been down by 14 points, to lead 66-65 in the third.

But they could not sustain their lead, giving two quick turnovers that saw the Spaniards run out with back-to-back two points.

The win booked Spain a place in the quarter finals while Nigeria is out of the tournament having lost their first two marches to Argentina and Lithuania respectively.
